Belarus Actions

Belhimprofsoyuz: on 17 September the IndustriALL Global Union affiliate Belhimprofsoyuz’s Presidium met and approved an Action Plan for the World Day for Decent Work around 7 October. The actions include the following:

• 21 September, Youth flash mob against precarious work:  " Youth against precarious work" and " Youth against agency labour "
• 7-10 October – International Workshop of Belhimprofsoyuz and the Coal Mining Workers’ Union of Ukraine (Ukrugleprofsoyuz) will have a roundtable discussion on agency labour
• 15 October – Meeting of the Sectoral Council on Labour and Social Affairs
• September to December – monitoring of the contract employment and additional negotiations with employers to transfer precarious workers to permanent employment contracts

Belhimprofsoyuz’ main position at the negotiations of the General Agreement is to prohibit agency labour in Belarus.
